I stopped here with my family on our way home to NJ from TN. I begrudgingly stopped because we had a long drive ahead, but my wife hates fast food and the restaurant bares my last name and was right off the highway. Well, I couldn’t be happier that we made this stop! Our 5 year old got a real kick out of the fact his last name was on the sign & building. As soon as we stepped inside we knew this was a real family owned restaurant that takes pride in the food they put out. They had a beautiful fireplace in the back decorated for fall and the whole place was super clean, bathrooms included! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! I got the hot turkey, totally surprised me because they used actual turkey, not sliced lunch meat. My wife ordered the turkey club and she said it was the best one she’s ever had. Our son got chicken tenders with fries and absolutely devoured it. We also all shared a side of Mac n cheese and it was equally as delicious as everything else and 100% homemade with love. A slice of chocolate pie to go was the chefs kiss to top off my night once we got home. We will definitely be stopping here every time our travels take us down I-81 in VA.

One of those wonderful older mom and pop places that have survived decades of change. Obviously, for a good reason! The staff were so nice. The food was hot and good. I loved sitting at the bar with the swivel stools and a greasy spoon sign above the food window. Definitely one of those places we need to frequent and appreciate.

If you see less then a 5-star review. They are likely another restaurant in competition hahaha. This place is amazing. 6 stars all around! I come by for lunch at work as often as possible. Call in is super fast and quality is well better then anything for many many square miles.
That's said I would still travel many. Any miles to eat here!

The food was ok, I asked for a salad to go and they forgot the dressing. They were friendly but not organized. We might come again. Maybe they were having an off day. It was kinda pricey $3.50 for mashed potatoes

If you love dives, stop here! Excellent place! Wouldn't have stopped here before without Google's 4.5 star reviews. Exactly as we expected. Sketchy digs, great food! Ordered a half hot roast beef sandwich and it was huge! Just like grandma's cooking. Quick service. Very inexpensive, which allows you to tip your server well! Hot homemade rolls. Only thing better would have been to have real butter for them! Bring only cash. There is an ATM inside for your use if needed.
