I purchased a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country minivan in November 2023. Sadly, my transmission died on January 11, 2024. I had my car towed to a Danville transmission repair shop and the repair was completed in one week. The 3,000 mile/3 month ASC policy that was provided by Affordable Auto covered all of my minivan's transmission repair costs! All I had to pay out of pocket was $132 in sales tax on a $4800 transmission repair bill! Thank you very much for providing me the FREE ASC auto repair policy in my deal. My minivan drives great now and I have no worries about my transmission with a 12k miles, 12 month warranty from the transmission shop. Thanks Tim for your thoughtfulness in providing your customers an ASC policy on every vehicle sale. God bless you and your family and Affordable Auto.

Bought a 2002 Toyota Camry XLE in February of 2023. Exactly 6,000 miles later, head gasket is blown. In all fairness the car was running fine at the time of sale. (Except that the mass airflow sensor was giving out but I'll let that one pass; it was an easy and cheap fix). However, I started noticing problems about only 2,000 miles after buying the car. I was hearing gurgling noises behind the dash on cold startup that gradually became worse and worse. Head gasket just blew today. I did see that there was very small evidence that the head gasket was blown when I bought the car so it is my fault for not noticing that. However, this doesn't reflect too well on the business. Furthermore, when I arrived at the dealership to buy my Camry in February, the owner and another customer were quarreling about a car this customer had just taken on a test drive and when he came back it was smoking. The owner was trying to convince the customer, despite the fact that the car was smoking, that it was just fine. This gave me a very bad feeling in the pit of my stomach but I bought the Camry anyway. Granted, my Camry was exceptionally clean and rust-free. However, between having bad tires, damage to the front bumper, a broken sunroof track and now a blown head gasket, I'm not thinking very positive thoughts about this business anymore. The price was not negotiated fairly with the problems I did know about at the time...and definitely not with the head gasket having blown now. But, it's my fault for not taking the warning signs seriously. Just be very wary of this dealership.

I bought my car from Affordable Auto Sales on Williamson road in Roanoke. I highly recommend them. My experience was fantastic. Harrison was patient with a crazy loan process and never showed signs of frustration. The car was clean and he gladly took care of the one issue with a promise to follow up. The prices were the best I've found, especially for comparable vehicles in the area. The other staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. This was truly the best car buying experience I've had. This is an honest, unsolicited review.

The people there were not pushy at all. We walked around the lot for a while looking at vehicles, chose three to check out. Test drove two and bought a 2009 Ford Flex for a reasonable price. It was so comfortable and drove so well that I paid more than I had planned from my online research. I just got it today but I'm so pleased that I decided to go ahead and write a review. I got this as a second car, my Mustang is just too hard for my 97 year old Mum to enter/exit. This one is going to be much easier for her. Originally I had planned on just getting a "throw away" car since for appointments I probably won't drive 100 miles a year. But I'm so impressed with it, even at 150k miles, I'm going to hang on to it for the next 150k miles. 🤠

4.5 Stars for Affordable Auto. (Suggestions at end of thorough review!) I would use Affordable Auto Sales again and I have recommended them to friends. We had driven to Roanoke to look at cars all afternoon and happen to drive past their lot. We saw a very clean Subaru Forester they had just finished detailing and we took it for a test driving. After talking price with the owner we were relieved to have finally found a car that fit our needs and mostly in our price range. The vehicle had not yet been inspected since they had just received it, but they promised they would take care of the inspection and an oil change as soon as the shops were open the next day. The owner and staff were very polite, pleasant to chat with, were even able to work with us a little on price, and gave us a 30 day warranty in case of any major issues! We have had the Subaru for about 2 months now and we drove it from VA to Maine and back. We also had it looked at after purchase by 2 different places, and while they did find some minor issues that may need attention down the road it is overall a really good used car, which fits our needs. This was our first experience buying a vehicle from any kind of dealership, so we have been cautious the whole time but had a good experience. Suggestions: 1) Wouldn't hurt to have your mechanic look at it if possible so you know what to expect, but honestly all cars have issues at some point anyway. 2) Check the oil! Even though they got it done for us they were forced to use a new place to keep their promise and have it ready on time, and the new guy neglected to add oil! After driving the car home we checked it on a whim and it was bone dry! No harm done thankfully. We called right away, and they agreed to reimburse us for another oil change, which they did when they mailed us the title. Great on their part!
